Extract remote.conf from Android?

I have a W2 tv box from Amazon.ca that has S905W2 SoC. So I will need an amremote.conf file which is not yet available in the repo :confused:

So I read this, boo9 method of Android adb extraction, from 2017:

A. Is this remote.conf file same as the required amremote.conf ?

Or what changes are necessary?

B. Someone said this will not work with Android 9+.

Is this correct ? If yes, any other method easier than manual configuration as from Coreelec instructions?

B. Or does someone have an amremote.conf file (s)he is willing to share ?
