Feature request - disable auto updater

Currently, we can set updates to auto or manual. Manual does not mean we won’t be prompted to install update - alert to install update will pop up on every boot. My proposal is to add third option “disabled” and CoreElec won’t even check for updates.

As I can see, “manual” option is somehow confusing, most people think that means “disabled” and updates must be sideloaded manually, which is not true

Are you talking about the nightlies?? If so, this point has been debated in the past and the decision was that nightlies wouldn’t have this option, as the point is to be on the latest version.

Yes, nightlies. Isn’t that the same on stable?
