FEL - Amlogic NO support

AM9 PRO results,you can compare same benchmark on any other CE device:

It is not a meaningful benchmark test though.

Well, I am not a technician and never made any test. I only judge from what i see on the Tv and for sure, AM9 Pro replies to commands faster than AM6b Plus. Of course I can be wrong but I believe to my eyes and to my ears over the tests.

The Am6b+ is also much snappier and responsive in NO compared to NG in my experience so far. I’m not going back to NG. Have ordered an AM9 Pro also though.

Wise choice

You said you did a lot of tests but now you are saying you are only judging from what you see.

Then please upload a comparison video of two devices under the same CE environment so that everyone in this forum can see the “so much faster” response of AM9 pro.

*(*That is the result against the benchmark test of CPU.)

Many am6 users of this forum may be considering buying AM9 pro. It would be very helpful for them.

I mean that I compared many movies in many formats. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Issue should be resolved with nightly 20260516.

Is it ? My experience has been exactly the opposite, since amlogic-NO does not (yet) support setting the eMMC speed to HS200/HS400.

send me am6b+,I will compare them side by side.

Out of 130 tested Android TV boxes and media players,with exact same benchmark test I am using,the number 1 on the list is AM9,probably AM9 pro could reach same disk recording speed,since they are using same Emmc chip,device was set to performance mode,Wi-fi and Bluetooth were turned off.

Manufacturer unknown,means Ugoos got leftover Emmc chips that were made for military. That’s why the speed is so high.

We can compare devices with in this benchmark,for example,Nvidia shield got 76MBps disk recording speed in this test,probably it would be around 100MBps with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned off.

Currently in terms of internal memory performance the Ugoos AM9/PRO is №1 top performer.

Well for me it is noticeably snappier, even more so with heavier skins like AF3 by jurialmunkey which was pretty much unusable for me on NG.

Menus opens quicker, artwork loads faster, videos start more quickly.

Has to be said that I have a pretty large library which is loaded from a remote mariadb database on my LAN so maybe that has something to do with it and there are Kodi 22 optimizations which improves my particular experience?

Anyway, we are getting off topic.

what is the meaning of this parameter/setting when you cann’t install CE to internal eMMC?

just out of curiousity

I can confirm that.

Thank you again.

have you tried sdr to hdr? I got black screen, no sound. When sdr to hdr is on, I cant play any file, even hdr and dv.

On the other hand sdr to dv works perfectly now.

I do have coreelec installed to emmc

@Portisch @Vasco
My colleagues and I are having major issues with some FEL tracks on the AM9 Pro. We get black screens and the audio cuts out during playback. After a few seconds, the video and sound come back, but this happens very often.

The tracks where this has occurred as example are:
“Ready or Not”, “The crazies” and “Tron Area.”

Here are the logs:

Thanks!

Samples (100-300mb) to reproduce would be much more helpful.

Also we said: not attached logs are accepted and will be removed. Only log by paste are valid.

@anon95383068 @Portisch I believe it’s the same problem I reported here with a sample that can reproduce the problem Ugoos AM9 Pro - SoC S6 S905X5-J - #189 by coreelec-user
