Firecube and Dolby vision profile 7

Hello, sorry if this is the wrong place but I have a Firecube and I’m under the impression that the Firecube gen 3 cannot play dv p7 which im not all that fussed about, however I have several 4k discs that I have ripped personally using Makemkv and they are not converted in anyway at all but when i play some of them they toggle Dolby vision, some don’t as well but I’m wondering what’s going if it cant play dv p7?

Aliens -Yes
The Batman -Yes
Dune - Yes
Furiosa - Yes
Jaws - No
The Matrix - Yes
The Matrix Reloaded - Yes
The Matrix Revolutions - Yes
Dead Reckoning - No
Point Break - Yes but pauses
Top Gun Maverick - No

I don’t have that device, so I can’t say for certain, but of the movies I also own in your list, the ones you have marked as “No” seem to use P7 FEL, while the ones you have marked “Yes” use P7 MEL. Maybe there is some correlation there? I have about half of those films, so I can’t check all of them.

Only the 2nd gen Cube can run CoreELEC, I’m assuming you are talking about video playback on the 3rd gen Cube in FireOS. You might get better help from the Kodi Community forum or AVS Forum where they are using the same platform as you.
