Homatics Box R 4K Plus

Yes, I mean different IPTV providers.

I’ve followed your tip and tried playing those channels with Kodi on a PC. They are indeed interlaced channels. Any fix from Homatics on the horizon? I should have paid more attention into this, because to me this is a really annoying issue. It affects my daily usage. :sob:

I saw on the Ugoos fw changelog they fixed this on the 2.0.5 update in december 2025. Anybody happends to know if this issue is actually resolved on their devices ?

The only solution at the moment is to switch providers. The Ugoos 2.0.5 firmware was intended for devices with a different processor. At this time, there is no fix for the S905X4.

Just bought it and already with a permanent bug. Great news :sob:

So new devices with the S905X5 like the AM9 Pro or with the S905X5M like the SK4 Pro don’t have these kind of issue ?

You can downgrade the software to version 12 and block the OTA update. @p750mmx should know which version is best.

The answer isn’t that there a deinterlacing bug in Android 14 since you use CoreELEC. If there is a CE issue why aren’t you sending logs?

Yes, I thought about flashing ATV 12, but doesn’t it have a known “frame drops” issue ? I thought that was a systemic issue, so I ditched the idea immediately. Maybe it won’t affect my specific use case, I should have done more research :downcast_face_with_sweat:

If I remember correctly, it occurs when you use subtitles.

But he is right. This discussion about Android is long, time to wrap it up.

My bad. Sorry if I’ve talked to much about Android. :winking_face_with_tongue: Let’s stop here, I’ll go find more info elsewhere. Thanks to @adWroc for the support.
