How to configure Stop button with Logitech Harmony and Keymap for AM6B+

I love my new AM6B+ but pressing OK, go right, press OK to end a movie is not very intuitive.

If I use the back button the movie is playing in the background.

Has somebody a Harmony and can help me? Keymap wants to catch a IR signal to map Stop on it but in the Harmony software there is no stop button to choose, only the real buttons that are on the Ugoos remote that have other purposes.

I guess I need a blank IR signal that I can set on the Harmony stop button, and then use this signal in Keymap.

If you use the remote.conf file from the faq guide then add the Ugoos media player device (which I think is ugoos am6) to your activity, then when you press the Harmony off key that will usually switch off the am6b+. That works for me anyway.

I am already doing this. But I am not talking about the off key (this is working), I am talking about the non existing stop button to stop a movie and return to the GUI.

Apologies. For that I add the Microsoft Kodi device to my activity and assign the relevant keys from there.

Thanks for the hint. Unfortunately the Kodi device does not work with my IR Harmony (Harmony Hub is needed) so the button does not work when used.

Ahh OK. I have the hub.

There’s several IR profiles compatible with Ugoos, try the Microsoft Media PC.

Isn’t that the same device I recommended or is this specifically an IR profile and not a device?

Actually it may not matter since what I am talking about requires the hub.

The one you recommended is ideal but Bluetooth based, therefore the need for the hub. The one I mentioned is IR. Two different profiles.

Thank you, I tried two different devices like Microsoft Media Center and MCE Keyboard but unfortunately the signals are not working, nothing reacts.

Make sure you have the Microsoft Media PC one, it’s IR, I’ve used it and it works. Might not work for turning on and off, just operations. You can also use the Zidoo Z9X IR profile, also works.

It does not work. I even already own a Zidoo Z9X that is in my Harmony.

Stop from device Z9X does nothing. When I start Keymap and edit the Stop button there, stop from Z9X is not detected.

I don‘t know what to do or if I am doing something wrong all the time.

I have a hub but I am using the Ugoos Media Player profile which is IR.

I used keymap editor to map the back button to stop when in full screen video playback.

Keymap Editor → Run → Edit → Fullscreen Video → Playback → Stop - browser_back → Edit key → Press the BACK button on your remote

I ended going with two different remotes. The supplied remote (UR-01) along with the Dune HD premium remote. I picked it largely because it has A LOT of buttons, and you can still find it to buy. Unlike a lot of the other remotes in the CoreELEC remote GitHub repo–while it’s a great reference, a lot of the examples there unfortunately are no longer made nor available to purchase (and preferably new as I find used remotes to usually be a bit gross). Just about every button I mapped for the AM6B+ “device” is the Dune remote buttons but I mapped both power buttons (red one as explicit on, black one as explicit off) to the UR-01. Mainly because the box only responds to resume/power-on functionality with the supplied remote and it’s not easy to change it (if even possible).

You can run multiple remote profiles, you just need multiple conf files in the right locations.

Then it’s maybe the remote conf because I only have the one from the guide to get the original remote running. Makes sense that no other remotes are working, have not thought of that.

Which conf do I need for Zidoo Z9X and where do I install it?

With Harmony you don’t need any remote.conf file, actually, you should try without it.

I have (see my post 4 over yours), it does nothing.

I see that my Harmony is sending out a signal but the Ugoos seems not to receive it and in Keymap the 5 second timer runs off.
