How to test status

Hello Everyone,

In another thread it mentions you can enable an disable the HDMI audio with these commands:

amixer sset 'Audio hdmi-out mute' on

OR

amixer sset 'Audio hdmi-out mute' off

Is there a way of testing if the status is ON or OFF?

Hello all,

N2 with CE 20.1.

I’m using Audio Profiles Add-on to switch between HDMI and SPDIF for the Audio. SPDIF is used for the Headphones so I still need the HDMI Video, but there’s still sound coming from the HDMI when using SPDIF.

Is there a way of turning OFF the HDMI Sound when SPDIF is selected?
