Installer root privileges

Hi, I’m trying to install a package from here - https://kb.roonlabs.com/LinuxInstall

When I issue the command it fails saying “This installer must be run with root privileges” I am indeed logging in as root at the command prompt. What to do?

EDIT: Trying a manual way to install but this gives the following errors:

Checking to see if RoonBridge can run on this machine

    Checking for Binary Compatibility                            [ FAILED ]
    Checking for ALSA Libraries                                  [ FAILED ]

The default user in CE has root privilages.
CE is not a full Linux system so has no facility to install any other packages other than Kodi addons.
