Is there a chance for CoreELEC NE to implement FEL

I know CoreELEC NE is EOL,but I came to an idea for sharing.

Under the CoreELEC NG version, the version of dovi.ko is stb:2.4:e-v1.0, and the version of the Dolby Vision driver in Linux-Amlogic is also 2.4. Thanks to the efforts of the CoreELEC (CE) team, FEL playback has been achieved.
Based on this, can we infer that Dolby Vision version 2.4 has been cracked? In the early versions of Linux-Amlogic 5.4, the Dolby Vision 2.4 driver was still used. Later, several new features were introduced and the driver version was upgraded to 2.6.
If we port Dolby Vision version 2.4 from Linux-Amlogic 4.9 to Linux-Amlogic 5.4, and simultaneously use the dovi.ko compiled under the 5.4 kernel, would it be possible to achieve FEL playback on CoreELEC NE?

There is no chance for NE, no.

Maybe a request for NO is more valuable.

But first you will need to find a person invest 10h/day for about 4 weeks with unknown result…

If OSMC (open source media center) will make it public then CE could use it too :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
