Is there a way to change the controller button index?

Hi,

I have a PS3 controller which I configure from main menu in retroarch, when I press “A” for example, the assigned button is the number 14.

I’m wonder if is there a way to change this 14 number in order to be recognized as the number 1.

I want to change this, because when I connect other controllers and change the device player index, retroarch not change the configuration for the specific controller, so it get messed out, I think the easy solution is to change the way all controllers are recognized by placing the same index in “A” button to be the number 1, “B” the number 2, etc.
