Khadas Vim4 shutdown = reboot after activating WoL

Hi folks,

i got a Vim4 running the latest ne 21.2 install on emmc. I enabled wol thru Khadas KBI with a USB to TTL debugger.
Since then i can’t shutdown CE from menu, nor ssh, it just goes into reboot.

I seems i am not completely alone on this, finding a similar thread: Power off doesn't work on KVIM2 - #9 by ssehovic (quite old)

Since then might there be any solution by now?
I use an UGOOS BT remote, but it can’t wake up the Vim4, because Ugoos sends the power on over IR i guess, which the Vim4 doesn’t posses.(at-least it worked on a TOX3 i also got laying around as travel mediacenter)

Wakeup with enabled WOL is fixed in CE-NO, CE-22.
BT remote can not wake up, only IR can.

Use the Ir wakeup function, read wiki:
https://wiki.coreelec.org/coreelec:irwakeup

Isn’t related to only IR capable devices and remotes?
I got a Vim4 which got no IR Sensor, if i remember correctly, and i use WoL because of this(i am pretty much fine with this, i don’t need the remote to power it on)
My problem is that i cant power down properly and the device just reboots.

Thx for your fast responds

So in summary:
If i want to stay on ne 21 and not go with the hassle with maybe daily nightly updates and no CE 22, the solution is to go with an IR Sensor and the previously linked IR Code config?

What pin out did you use on the Vim4 and is there anything else on the Vim4 you need to do to get it working recognized? When i am lucky i got already an IR diode laying around from some old Rpi projects.

Thx :kissing_heart:

Come on, use search functions!

Yeah sorry, i saw it by then, did not know that there is a dedicated pin for IR(never worked with it). I will have a look this evening, thx so far
