Lib2to3 missing from CoreELEC

Does anyone have lib2to3 which is missing from /storage/.kodi/addons/script.module.future/libs/

I found this on another forum (but the link is now dead)

Just unpack this file (it contains lib2to3 from the Python 2.7) into “/storage/.kodi/addons/script.module.future/libs/”. It solved same issue for me on CoreElec 9.0.1

I think that ‘script future’ addon is not part of CoreELEC, also I think that downloading files from dubious sites is the best way to break a device

I found a link on tvaddons which gives details of how to install the futures addon. I’ll give that a go.

This module has been added into LibreElec since 9.2.1 due to the number of addons which are migrating from python2 to python3. Anything which needs python3 may not work without it due to getting a “No module named lib2to3.pgen2.parse” error (found in kodi.log).
