m3u8/HLS + DLNA/UPNP issues

Hi,

I’m having issues casting m3u8/HLS content to Kodi Leia with CE 9.2.8 Legacy (S905 box).
I’m using UPNP/DLNA to cast to it, but with 2 apps I use only one works and I don’t have working seek control at all, can’t do subtitles or pick audio tracks.

I’ve cross-checked the situation with same exact apps and streams with LE 9.2.8.18 LTS which also has Kodi Leia and it works fine - I have seek controls, subtitles, audio track selection, tho I have some other issues with LE.

I can provide logs or whatever is needed from both OS.

I doubt anyone would work on CE 9.2.8 :wink:

Oh no I get it, I’m asking if someone knows the difference between CE 9 legacy and LE 9 lts, maybe it’s just a different addon or some setting, I find it weird that both use Leia and target same (in my case) hardware but CE doesn’t support m3u8 files as a format for some reason.

Why are you casting using DLNA/upnp? All you have to do is acces the files over smb/nfs directly from within CE and will work flawlessly

It’s the only way to get something directly and quickly from the phone, like a page with a video.

Unfortunately these can sometimes be m3u8/HLS or MPEG-DASH or similar.
