I use the reset button and as stated above to rename dtb. Also while in android turn hdr setting to adaptive to keep CoreELEC from being stuck in hdr mode.

I’m not very good with Android, where do I change this setting?
I’m not able to change the resolution to 4k in CoreElec.
I have a Onkyo tx-nr626 receiver and the screen goes blue when I change resolution above 1080p.

It is suppose to support 4k, or at least passthrough.

– Update:
After a couple of reboots it now seems that I can select 4k… strange.

– Update 2:
After yet another reboot this morning the screen is now blue again.

Ok, so I think I’ve sorted it.
I added the following to the /root/config.ini file
hdmimode=‘1080p60hz’

and now the screen is no longer blue, and the resolution in kodi is set to 4096/2160p at 24fps.

Don’t use 4096, that is not a native resolution for TVs.
Our recommendation is to keep GUI at 1080P, but you can use 3840x2160 if you really want to.
But don’t use 4096x2160, it will not look right.

I have 2 of these running with no issues. Boot time is about 20-25 sec but I run them 24/7. I can’t speak on dual boot since I erased android.

Support is on the way. But wifi should work according to our information.

Support of the Minix U22-XJ Max was added by 12.12.2021. So use the new g12b_s922x_minix_u22xj_max.dtb for this device.

If the display looks “greenish” you need to disable Dolby Vision in Android settings (settings → minix settings → display → screen resolution) as CoreELEC does not support Dolby Vision.
