Minix U8K Ultra 8K First boot crash

I’ve just set up a new Minix U8K Ultra 8K with nightly no 20250519 and I have a really strange issue.

On first boot the Kodi UI appears and then a couple of seconds later the box crashes and reboots, Kodi then runs and everything is fine.

I then reboot the box and the same happens Kodi runs for a couple of seconds then reboots and is fine after that until I reboot and the same happens again.

This is 100% repeatable and happens every time. Any ideas?

I have an idea! How about provide some logs ?!

I have an idea, you tell me how to get logs from a box before it crashes and reboots.

Can you check if there’s a kodi.old.log with some information? I have the same device and I don’t have this issue. But I only reboot to update so I can be missing something.

There is also file kodi_crash.log.

@vpeter @Vasco Thanks, here’s the last crash log.

The crash log helped, the crash appears to happen in CPeripheralCecAdapter.

Disabling CEC has fixed the issue. Thanks.
