Minix U8K Ultra stuck at recovery

Hi,

I try to boot CoreELEC from SD Card in a Minix U8K Ultra.

I used the Download helper and loaded the Image to a SD Card with etcher. I could not find the correct dtb File.
So I used the DTB file from the ne nightly Image.
renamed it and copied it to the root of the card.
But when I try to boot, I always only get to the Android recovery.
I also tried to use the nightly build directly with the dtb, but with the same effect.
Since I know that there are people running CE on the device I think there is something I have missed.

I tried booting by:
Reset button method → Recovery
Power button method → Nothing here
Reboot to CoreELEK APK → Recovery

I hope someone can help me here

Seems you are trying to use CE21 NG image? It is not supported.
You need to use CE21 NE or CE22 NO.

I tried CoreELEC-Amlogic-ne.aarch64-21.1.1-Omega_nightly_20250106-Generic.img and CoreELEC-Amlogic-ne.aarch64-21.1.1-Omega-Generic.img

And did you use DTB from this same image you wrote? You caan’t mix them between versions.

In both cases I used the s5_s928x_minix_u8k_ultra.dtb from the nightly image

If your SD card is correct, keep trying the power button method.

it probably won’t work the first time you try it, if you end up in android, shut it down with power menu, (select shutdown in the power menu) then try again.

Hold the power button for at least 10 seconds, maybe even longer, until you see the coreelec logo.

OK, I will try. The Card is a completely new San Disk Extreme UHS-1 128GB
