And for developers: Does CoreElec use any information from the android image? Is DDR4 not already supported by the previous version?
it came with new AM6B+ batches, nothing have changed in the firmware, I do run slimBOXtv on Android as it offers Android TV compared to Ugoos firmware.
I bought mine in Aug 2024. I’m safe to assume I have old batch of production so no need to update?
I bought mine also August 2024 and got 0.5.4n, no need to update even if you’re on 0.5.4, even the slimBOXtv is based on 0.5.4.

Know if it’s still possible to install slimBOXtv if one’s unit already has dual-boot CE/Android set-up?

Iam still Testing Ugoos on external
Now have firmware incase brick ,or other, return to Ugoos from Slimbox
You will have to use the Amlogic USB burning tool, and it will completely replace your existing OS.
Probably best to use CoreELEC Tool ceemmc -x
Use option
Make copy of CoreELEC
Then Tool again abd remove CoreELEC
Now flash away at your leisure

Reinstall saved CoreELEC to internal Dualboot
