Nightly builds

Is that happened?

Really? Where it is?

Pop up when you power reboot after nightly update file loaded.

Nowhere.

Yes.

Hi mates, I saw on sale the magicsee N5 max with s905x3 cpu. Is the nightly next generation build ready to run with the next one generation cpu?? Thanks in advance, regards

S905*3 SoCs are work in progress, support for them isn’t in the nightly builds yet.

How LE supports Amlogic then? Are they forked Kodi too?

They’re going with the mainline approach. I’m pretty sure that they still have a way to go until their implementation is anywhere near what we have with vendor kernel based releases.

But Kodi dropped amcodec in Kodi Matrix, not in Leia.

Was it public decision? I didn’t see anything about it.
And what was the reasons?

Because the LE and KODI teams find it unacceptable to maintain platform specific code. Therefore if a manufacturer or hobbiest is not prepared to submit to the main Linux kernel they will not support it.
This was a developer decision and was never open to public consultation.

I think they will have to provide public explanations, eventually.

You find them on GitHub

Hello, has anyone an “A95X F2”-Box with S905X2-Chipset? The Nightly Build from 05.11. produces graphic errors on it. I used the File “CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.2-nightly_20191105-Generic.img” and the Device Tree g12a_s905x2_4g.dtb, but it doesnt work.

Stable 9.2 of CE works fine, but i want to use EmuELEC and it produces the same graphic errors as the nightly-Versions from CoreELEC 9.2

What graphic errors?

the graphic errors look like

by the way, my tv is not capable to show 4k resolutions, but this graphic errors happens on boot from fresh install

Please try to find the last nightly build where this problem started, and we’ll take a look at what could have caused it.

okay, but the oldest version in the archive is from yesterday

Why? It’s their software. They can do whatever they want without explanation. If you have an issue, go to the Kodi forums. Just be thankful the guys/gals here at CoreElec do what they do. Off topic anyway, it was discussed ages ago.
