What is the difference between gxl_p230_k1_pro.dtb and gxl_p230_k1_pro_ser.dtb?
Data transfer from dvb demodulator (TSin) is paralell (8 bits). Version with _ser uses serial transfer (only 1 data bit). I was ask for serial version to be able replace broken dvb modul with Khadas VTV modul. Khadas uses only serial transfer.

This would give more performance in the dvb, I guess not? as the transfer speed is higher.

@kostaman I introduced a bug into the nightly_20190507 image by accident which broke auto updates, it’s already fixed in the latest nightly.
Anybody who installed it will need to manually update.

@Sholander we have been waiting for the LE guys to make a release so anything we put out there is at equal parity with them.
Nightly contains 18.2 obviously.

But why do your parents need Kodi 18.2?
Only on 18.2 with inputstream.adaptive 17.1 HBO-Go EU works flawlessly with subtitles 
All other combinations have occasional problems on their Mecool KM8 box.

That’s good to hear. I’ve had some bad experiences in the past with forced updates. Generally I disable them on any product if a hack is possible.
I can understand and accept a forced update policy with the nightlies, but I’ll be looking forward to getting off them as soon as the ng release becomes stable.

I am also having the auto update problem from Nightly_20190508 which I manually updated to.
I receive an update notification but the build does not download.
Same as skewers… get annoying update notifications… So did a manual update…
