do you need more infos from me?
Hi.
I was planning to buy a S905x3 box with the 11.11 promotions or Black Friday. They have reached everywhere very fast!
Do you know when approximately there will be a version which could be usable? Will this SoC be fully supported by CoreELEC?
Thanks in advance!
It should be fully supported eventually, but we don’t have an ETA yet, because adding support for it requires a lot of work, since the current kernel we are using for the S922X/S905X2 isn’t fully compatible with the newer SoC, this means we are working on a different kernel and getting up to scratch.
Can u please flash 1003 again where it’s not working and make a log by the SSH connection?

okay… not an fresh install, but an update via the 1003-tarfile:
Thx, and u still have no picture with 1003? And you have a picture again when update to the test image?
With the Update via tarfile of 1003 i had a picture via hdmi
And when u update now with latest nightly tar 1107?
Did you power off TV & box? Maybe also disconnect the HDMI cable when powered off!
So you have only a problem if you do clean install on version 1003 and above?
If you can repeat an issue then we need ce-debug -l | paste
from non-working version to compare…
interesting, it seems that the update from 1002 to 1003 (or to the devel-version you give me) has fixed the problem. A fresh install from nightly 1003 produces no graphic errors anymore.
But I want to install EmuELEC-NG 3.0 and it has now another error. See this failure:
after triggered the Reset-Button during the EmuELEC-Installation, it boots now EmuELEC.
thanks for the help
Anyone else experiencing lockups on latest nightlies on S912 ?
Shoog
Random freezes on Le Potato S905X. Not consistent so hard to pinpoint when/why. Only since 1109 for me.
Your sure it happens with 1109 and later?
Please test again and report last working nightly version.
Started on 1108. 1113 seems fine. Not sure why but it’s running fine now on 1113.
I always have problems on S912 with the nightly versions and I have to go back to the stable version despite losing the bluetooth audio
The latest failures detected in 20191114 and 20191113 have been the inability to access the Addons CoreELEC repository, the inability to review system updates and unexpected Kodi restarts.
I am looking forward to a bug fix in Kodi that is included in the 18.5 kodi nightlies, and will be part of the 18.5 release. Can anyone say if/when we might see kodi 18.5 in Coreelec?
