Nokia Streaming Box 8000 - boot ok but no stream

Hello all.

I want to replace my current, 5 year old system (debian/Kodi on RaspPi) for various reasons. After failed attempts to fulfill my wishes (FireTV- and Google Chromecast with Google TV) I bought a Nokia Streaming Box 8000:

Android 10
Amlogic S905X3 Quad-Core Cortex-A55
ARM Mali-G31 MP2
2 GB DDR3
8 GB eMMC
100 Mbit LAN
IEEE 802.11b/g/n, 2.4
IEEE 802.11a/n/ac, 5 GHz
Bluetooth: 4.2
USB-A 3.0
Digital audio (S/PDIF-TOSLINK)

Reads fine at first, but this box with (presumed default) android and Kodi app doesn’t work as intended either (CEC, standby, Sonos soundbar, etc). Since I can not return the device, I was looking for alternatives and ended up with CoreElec:

→ CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-20.1-Nexus-Generic.img.gz written to a USB 3.1 SanDisk Flash Drive (avg. 130 MB/s read, 60 MB/s write)
→ copied sm1_s905x3_2g.dtb to /dtb.img
→ “reboot update” via ADB-Shell, first setup works (via WLAN), Bluetooth remote control I could set up thanks to the WIKI! Kodi-GUI runs great!

==>> BUT: When I start a video (stream), the box seems to hang in a buffer loop. Even after five minutes there is no video image to see…

Then I tried all other sm1_s905x3_*.dtb: Only with the sm1_s905x3_2g.dtb the box boots at all.

It can’t be due to the LAN/WLAN (UniFi hardware), because the Nokia box with Android and Kodi app can play videos without any problems. Other existing Windows and Linux clients with Kodi also stream without problems over 2.4 and 5 Ghz WLAN.

Is there something I may not have read?
Your help would be highly appreciated!

OK. I failed to hit the “no log, no problem” philosophy.
Here it is:
Log & configs: http://ix.io/4xc3
crash log & configs: http://ix.io/4xc4

If something else is missing please post details - I’m just a thankfull user who would like a working CE.

Looks like your Android firmware block the hardware decoder. You need to try to find another firmware where the bootloader does not lock the decoder. There is no other way.
The TEE stuff handling is only supported by CE since S905X4, SC2.

OK. Not the answer I was hoping for, but thank you for the quick help and your time!
