Odroid N2 Latest version?

Hi all, is 20.5 Nexus the last version for Odroid N2 :disappointed_relieved:

No, N2 is G12B SOC, still supported, even with latest CE22-NO.
You just need to cross the road…

21.2 works great if you don’t want 22 in alpha.

Just to note, I am running 22alpha for quite some time and I think it’s the best one yet. Haven’t encountered any issues apart from running a skin that is not quite ready (built for v21).

Cheers

Hey, can you please check something? I started
using NO recently on n2+ and i notice one cpu core is hanging around 90% usage when system is idle. I tried fresh install also on default skin with no addons installed and top shows around 110% cpu on kodi.bin when box is not doing anything. Can you try top command when box is idle please?

Well waddayaknow, never noticed before…

Yea its a bug then, but only on idle. when I play a movie it drops to around 7%. I never turn off my box so 100% cpu load on idle is very problematic. On 21.2 its very minimal cpu usage when idle.

I can confirm, just tested.
I have three of these running 24/7 so would be nice to quite this down…

What’s really weird is that I am not seeing the same behaviour on a N2 (not plus)

Strange that n2 is ok as they are very similar, I suspected other boxes work fine, otherwise this would be reported already. Btw I also tried older dtb for n2+ but that didnt help. We need some devs to take a look at this

I’ll try and file a bug report later today with both flavours to help a dev investigate

Yes, latest builds has 100% cpu usage on idle. Already known issue and will be fixed soon.

So my box is stuck on 20.5, so i guess its the manual upgrade thing again. Not sure what version i should download?, dont really want to do a full re-install.

Ignore, updated to 21.2

A quick question, been away for a while. What is the latest stable version for N2 that supports Dolby Vision?

There’s no official CE builds with DV support for unlicensed SOCs. There was some work towards that goal in this thread, it includes custom builds.
