Poor playback of 1080i VC-1

My Ugoos AM6 is running CoreELEC nightly. Since I acquired the box last year I don’t think it has every played 1080i VC-1 that well, with obvious stutter in the video.

Today I noticed that if I set HW acceleration to “exclude 24p”, playback of 1080/50i plays with software decoding - the CPU level spikes and the video setting to allow user selection of deinterlacing method is activated. Something in the playback logic might have a bug there? If I set acceleration to Always I still get obvious stutter artefacts in the video, so neither option gives an acceptable result.

Given that the OSMC folks have managed to combine hardware acceleration with user control of deinterlacing for perfect VC-1 playback with maximum resolution (no deinterlacing artefacts) on their Vero boxes, I wonder if it might be possible for the Ugoos as well?

Here is a log in case helpful.

Yes, solution is to use latest CE-NO!

thanks - would that mean giving up DV? P7 FEL support is the main reason I have the box.

Then use the box for the need you did buy for?

I have several systems, looking to maximise functionality of each box I run. For my TVs with heavy family use I really need one box to avoid confusion. Does NO have full support for DV yet on the AMB6+ ? The NO thread has more than 2000 posts so if you happen to know that would be helpful to confirm.

I have scanned the forum. I’m curious, do you know the answer but you’re just not telling me or do you not know the answer?

No, it does not, and never will have FEL support, which has been mentioned over and over, at least 20 times in discussions here.
