I opened it up and check the wifi chip ans it is a RTL8211F which by the specs it is a 10/100/1000M chip.
So, no “therefore only 100Mbit capable” is wrong…

I booted the box up on android and the integrated NIC did not work there either, it link up in the switch on 1000Mbit but in OS it say disconnected… I guess it is browken or something…

And putting MAC into config.ini did not solve anything.

Your info was quite brief, not giving much details.
sc2_s905x4_4g_1gbit.dtb - No Boot - No Log
sc2_s905x4_4g.dtb - Boot (but no network) - Log provided
We have seen many counterfeit boxes claiming 1Gb, but using internal PHY (100Mb), with exact same behaviour. Therefore assumption was yours is also using only internal Phy, and Network issue was caused by missing MAC.
Now you come up with more details, confirming RTL8211F assembled, but not operational even under Android… Gamechanger

Looks like HW defect (between SOC & PHY), as the PHY itself still does operate Auto-Negotiation to the switch. Return to seller.

Go back to Android and do Factory Reset.
Or Test slimboxtv for vontar x4

Sometimes you have to unplug from rj45
Then reconnect.

Need to physically remove ethernet cable from rj45 port.

Then try clean install CoreELEC SD Card

The RTL8211F isn’t a WiFi chip is it? It’s an Ethernet transceiver chip?

how can i get a log from sc2_s905x4_4g_1gbit.dtb if it don’t boot ?

I bought this box long time ago, so return to seller is not an option… I normally use X96max+ ultra as daily box but thet is only 100Mbit, therefore I wanted to try this to get Gbit.

Issues with wifi/ethernet have been reported across many Forums.

These boxes have not been assigned/mapped/programmed properly.

You need to astablish working ethernet in Android first.

Change/Test different Android firmware on Hk1x4

Try slimboxtv based on vontar x4
Is compatible with Hk1x4
There is Network Setting there
Network Status.

With ethernet connected
MAC is not detected/ hidden
Switch to wifi/disconnect ethernet
MAC is detected/ displayed.

Also maybe Test Matrix Nightly CoreELEC
Once you have working Ethernet in Android

Hi, anyone getting stable wire network with the latest nightly 20 ng (kernel 4.9)?
it was ok before.
worked until now with coreelec 20 ne - very stable.
and try to switch to the latest coreelec 20 ng nightly, but there is problem.

it getting ip from dhcp after 5 - 10 minutes
and and after getting ip the ping to the box is really unstable
