Running Jellyfin server on AMB6+ or DS220+?

Hey!

I’m currently running my Jellyfin server on my DS220+. I’m hosting the server files on a ADATA SE760 external SSD via, I think it’s a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port on the NAS.

My NAS have default hardware, meaning Intel Celeron J4025 dual-core 2.0 (base) / 2.9 (turbo) GHz and 2GB DDR4 RAM.

So my question is, would I benefit from running the Jellyfin server directly on my Ugoos AMB6+? I plan to keep it ON at all times.

I do not transcode anything. So It’s pretty much a database collecting info from the internet for all the media I’m hosting on my NAS/PC right?

But is the AMB6+ more or less powerful than my NAS? And will latency have any meaningful impact?

There is no arm version of the Jellyfin server, so you can’t run it on any arm device like AMB6+.

Emby has a arm server, but have not tested how well it runs and which parts work.

There is jellyfin docker for arm…
Also emby runs no problem… For years now.
