[S905X] Can't boot beyond 9.2.8 in a generic S905X tv box

Hi,

I have a generic S905X tv box (Giga TV HD870 4K) working with CE 9.2.8, installed in internal memory with installtointernal command, when I boot from a USB with any newer version, it resize and check partitions and file systems ok and then reboot, shows the CE animated logo for a few seconds, reboot again and then tv box doesn’t boot from USB. I have used the gxl_p212_1g file as dtb.img. Could anyone help me?.

Flash Android on internal eMMC and start a new fresh install on USB/µSD with CE-21, CE-NG.

installtointernal support is dropped since years…

The bootloader is to old
Two options:

  1. Stay on 9.2.8 in internal memory
  2. Reflash box with a newer Android version and start fresh install

I recommend stay with 9.2.8
