Intel may be a sure future proof way to go, but as you said, this is not going to happen any time soon. You can buy 4 S905X boxes for the price of one of those Intel Pentium/Celerons, They will also use less power, take less space and actually support HDR today, something that Intel GPUs can’t do right now under Linux.
