i have the key map editor add-on. but how can i see the bitrate of a movie during playback?
The view is the “Player debug info” mentioned here:https://kodi.wiki/view/Player_process_info#Player_Debug_Info. I’ve always mapped it to ‘P’ so the two informative views are next to each other.
Same as I
a PR has been pushed from MasterKeyxda to CoreELEC, (he’s not slept!)
with users reporting up to 25% improvement in performance, how does this alter the table?
For pure Kodi, does the AMB6+ not take the crown. This seems to be the next best hardware for the next 5 years. it was already snappier than the Homatics Box R 4k Plus and now the lead is extended much further.
I’ve heard the best price on sale for the Homatics Box R 4k Plus is $82
and the AMB6+ is $106
not much more for a faster box
thoughts Astrotrain?
My heartful gratitude to MasterKeyxda, you don’t get free 25% upgrades on hardware, let alone for my 5 years Odroid N2+.
Vasco now we have 25% more performance LOL this box is so legendary! you basically got an N3 LITERALLY. can we extend it to another 10 years? we might be able to download more RAM in a year.
Hello,
I’m getting an intermittent black screen (UI too, the first one after 1:35) when I’m playing the remux version of Puss in Boots: Last Wish, the problem appears with two differents releases of the remux.
My HDMI cable is a certified ultra high speed.
The problem does not appear with Infuse on Apple TV.

Is it possible to add the Homatics bluetooth remote B21 to the AM6B box?
Is it enough to add the hardware database file and pair it?
Having issues using IR as signal gets blocked so bluetooth would be good but UR02 does not support it.
Yes, the hwdb is probably already included in the build.
UR2 remote working perfect with IR and paired bluetooth mode. I use that in long time. Also auto reconnect the BT, 2 sec after boot…
@Portisch any thoughts on the above?
I have no idea as I never encode videos. But when this fix it for you why not?
As I said Kodi can only do what it get reported by ffmpeg. When this info is wrong in media or in ffmpeg source code it must be somehow fixed.
You can go to ffmpeg developer and ask what is best option and if maybe it’s a fault on their code.
Ok, I will try asking ffmpeg devs on their trac.
I know Kodi can only operate through what ffmpeg reports but, as pointed out, there is a difference in how the two different formats get reported (even though only one explicitly provides HLG response), which is why maybe a workaround could be devised.
But it’s better to ask directly ffmpeg devs, I agree.I thought you had more of a “direct line” to them, which is why I waited for your answer.
I will report back.
Did you ever find the cause as I have the same issue with PKC?
Yes, it was my music library. Now I no longer synchronize it with PKC and the problem is gone. What’s strange is that I didn’t change anything in the music library back then and it worked at first.
Thanks for the reply.
Strange, I don’t sync my Music Library with PKC and I still have the issue. Weird.
I’m not sure I understand what’s happening with cpm’s VS10 builds…
He asked to close the discussion: Dolby Vision - VS10 Engine on Ugoos AM6+ - #524 by cpm
But, AFAIK, his work is not in nightlies yet. Am I wrong?
It is not in nightlies and will not be soon, if ever; you can follow further discussion in this topic
i have sound drops on my receiver with earc if i connect my ugoos directly to my tv. is this a known issue? the problem is only solved if i connect my ugoos directly to the receiver.
and also if i play gemini man (60fps). the screen goes black and i got only sound if i connect my ugoos directly to my receiver. my receiver has 2.1 hdmi ports. the enhanced ports are all open. it has to the with the 60fps of the movie. alle other movies are playing fine.
i have a LG C9.
I have this too (the sound drops), but only with TrueHD Atmos content. Seems to be very much related to this.
In the logs I receive these errors:
ActiveAE::SyncStream - average error 115.899031 above threshold of 100.000000
ActiveAE::SyncStream - delay frames:5563 error 96ms
ActiveAE::SyncStream - delay frames:4603 error 76ms
ActiveAE::SyncStream - delay frames:3643 error 56ms
ActiveAE::SyncStream - delay frames:2683 error 36ms
ActiveAE::SyncStream - delay frames:1723 error 16ms
The thing is, this does not occur when I set “earc setting” to off on my Sony A95L TV. While with the setting either way the exact same bitstream (for the atmos test files, dts:x falls back to core with “earc setting” off) gets sent to my receiver (Sony HT-A9m2 in my case). Making me believe this is at least partially related to a TV earc bug.
Not sure if it matters, but this is on the AM6B+. Latest CPM A2 update
The same test files bitstreamed from a Windows laptop to the TV do not have these dropouts. Or when the Ugoos is directly connected to my receiver
