I have an am6b+ currently winging its way from China. I’ve read through the installation guide etc and it all seems pretty helpful. One thing I’m not sure of though is whether or not I should use the CP build. I have an oled tv and I’m not interested in any conversion to or from Dolby vision so my initial thought was I just don’t need it.
However I’ve read it fixed the ATME bug which i understand results in incorrect display of HDR material mastered at over 1000 nits. Do I need to install the CPM build if i want this bug sorted? I saw this post when discussing the bug
Astroline
“The fix for the ATEME bug has been merged into the mainline.“
Does this mean that the latest coreelec build fixes the bug and the CPM build is no longer required?
Thank you for the clarification. And for the incredible work you appear to have done with your build. Just for clarification, that specific bug fix is in the nightly ‘ng’ build? I also need FEL 7 support
I received a new AM6b+, the box have the new firmware 0.5.4n, and i can’t install CoreELEC because when i try the box remain stuck in upgrading bootloop
interesting, but I doubt that it’s related to the new FW. I have two boxes, one old and one from mid-2024 with 0.5.4n preinstalled, both work just fine with CE…
PS, Just me having issues with the box hanging / freezing in different menus? Just tried to browse the library and the box froze so I had to pull the power, boot it up, freezes shortly again when trying to update the library. This is using the stable version from frontpage
Will try to change back to HS200 instead of 400 to see if this had something to do with it.
And of course get a debugglog if I want proper help here
