No need: install addon from CE repo.
Gyumo; it’s up to 21.2.1 JRE Zulu. I had found it somewhere besides getting it to update. But I do prefer to have a backup copy. I have backed up the tools.jre.zulu-11.80.6.0.zip files. On the Ugoos AM6B+, you can turn off autoupdates. So you can stay on a very nice working CoreElec Kodi 21.2. Let me know if you want me to up the CoreElect JRE stuff to me mega. I too cant find it today.
Hi guys! (Vpeter and Axledentaldj)
Thank you for your answers.
So the installation of that addon is easy, through Kodi Interface, going to the repository (it is sufficient to have an internet connection, I suppose).
So, according to you, with CE Amlogic NG 21.2 Omega, I have a stable version with no bugs, full compatible with 4k files (mkv and bdmv folder)…. nothing to report about issues… correct?
I’m searching a version of Kodi (and in general a media player) that deals with mkv (everyone of them! with all possible metadata about 4k) for the next years, until some big novelties.. for example H266…..or another type of dynamic metadata…where another product will be necessary.
It is sufficient to follow the guide I reported, do you confirm? (written by Astrotrain ( [Guide] S922X-J (Ugoos AM6b+) CoreELEC installation and FAQs )).
I am new also to Kodi universe, I hope you understand my questions to be sure I will spend a discrete sum of money, in a successful way (I have to buy also a HDMI extractor for audio signal to send it to a AV receiver)
See you soon,
Axledentaldj,
are you suggesting to upload to Mega site a zip with the new version of that add on, right?
I think it is not necessary, if I can use the repository of Kodi as mentioned by Vpeter.
Cheers,
how can i format my emmc? i have CE installed on it.
Reinstall Android?
but the CE stays on the emmc in that case i suppose? is there a command to delete CE from the emmc?
No it’s not. If you reinstall android all is gone back to factory.
also if android only starts with dualboot at the moment? so an hardreset of the device is enough?
No
If you are using Ugoos dualboot firmware, then Factory Data Reset will not remove CoreELEC from internal,
Why do you not post which version is flash to Ugoos for Android Base?
Or flash the Newer 054n Ugoos Firmware, it is single boot, and will have no CoreELEC on Partition
I am not so technical at this. I’m sorry i can’t follow you. How can i check that?? I want to delete CE from emmc.
Which steps do i need to take exactly?
Read this, use recovery mode, 1.point
Read as frodo19 posted
And or post more info from Ugoos Android
Boot to Android and check settings/system/about, Firmware Version 137DB,or 054n???
How long ago did you flash latest Firmware
Did you use CoreELEC Tool ceemmc-x and write CoreELEC to Internal?Who install CoreELEC to internal?
Or did the Box come with Android/CoreELEC in Dualboot?
I’ve installed by myself with powershell.
Ok
can you make a backup first?
ssh connect to box CoreELEC tool ceemmc-x, does not work? frofo19 posted link?
Then use USB Burning Tool and flash newer firmware 0.54n Clean install
Then test CoreELEC from external media
When all is good ssh connect and use CoreELEC tool to write to internal
Did anybody have a good experience running CE22 NO ? I have a good setup (NG version) on eMMC? was testing it on a SSD, but it crashes a lot…
Not very stable for me on X96 X10: issues with the bluetooth, no ethernet after waking up from suspend, occasional Kodi crashes.
i’ve read the what frodo19 posted. i don’t want to have a backup so if i click on step 7 to delete. i can’t find how to remove exactly? i found it confusing. can you explain me in simple steps?
i have already the latest firmware on the android side.
It doesn’t get any simpler
Just follow the wiki guide
Or reflash Ugoos Firmware
