Thanks for your quick retesting, so no significance by Dhrystone.
So either the cache was already active before optimizations (with the bug of unified L2), or Dhrystone mainly runs in internal L1 and is the wrong benchmark for cache.
Memtest comparison would give the ultimate answer.
