Hello! Long time Kodi user although I am new to both CoreElec and my Ugoos AM6B+ (so please speak to me like I’m a five year old). I followed a guide on reddit for installation, including installing CE to the Ugoos’ internal memory and set the eMMC speed mode to “HS200/HS400”. I’m also using the Aeon Nox Silvo skin, if that matters.
I have a QNAP NAS hosting my media library via shared/network folders. I was able to use SMB to set up my source folders, and everything scanned in and is displaying properly. However when I click “Update Library” nothing happens for several minutes. “Update Library” changes to “Stop Scanning” but that’s it. After letting it sit there for five or ten minutes, finally I will see a message at the top that my library is being scanned. The actual scan itself is quick enough, its the 5-10 minutes of nothing before that that I’m hoping to fix.
It’s also pretty slow when I go through file manager and try to open my Movie folder (takes maybe 10-20 seconds to load the folder, so nothing I can’t live with) although opening my Movie library is instant. My old setup was a Windows PC, and I had the shared/network folders mounted as a drive in Windows, and the scanning process was instantaneous. I’m not sure if the Ugoos is slow because the library sources are mounted as SMB locations, or what the deal is.
My other annoyance, which could very well be related to the main issue, is that my play history is not being synced to my Trakt account. On my Windows PC, after I ran a library scan, I’d see a message at the top saying “Trakt.tv Synchronization” or something similar. Then if I opened up Trakt on my phone it would update with the correct episodes marked as watched. That is no longer happening. I have authorized my Trakt account, deleted/reinstalled the add-on, deleted/relinked the device to my Trakt account, but none of that has helped.
