Solved: Gapless music playback from Plex server

… running on docker. Has anyone worked out how to do it?

The best I’ve come up with is to ignore Plex server and to set up a Kodi music file source using NFS (SMB still pauses). To do this I have to set output configuration in audio settings to optimised.

If anyone’s managed it, I’d love to know how. DarkSide of the Moon is just not the same with gaps.

I can play Pink Floyd - Dark Side of The Moon 24Bit 96KHz gapless.

NFS mount outside KODI

Tim, I’m not sure if we understand each other. I’m asking about getting it to work from a Plex server running on docker on my N2. If I understand you correctly, you’re saying you can get it to work from a NFS server and, if so, I know that because I can too.

What I’m trying to do is use a Plex client ( in my case the excellent Composite) for all my media viewing/listening.

It turns out that it was the client I was using. The official Kodi Plex client handles gapless perfectly.

I have asked the developer for the Composite add-on if gapless can be supported.
