[Solved]VIM3L ceemmc issues

I have installed nightly 20200327 on a SD card and it works fine with the VIM3L.
H265 UHD playback on 1080p is great, so very happy there.

Next I wanted to install CoreELEC on the embedded eMMC storage, but that fails.
Running emmc and choosing option 3 results in the following:

No CoreELEC installation found on eMMC

The new partition being too small must be something else, because I have 23.5MB in use on /storage.

For the record, the VIM3L so far only has run with a SD card with CoreELEC on it, once, so the eMMC hasn’t been touched before at all.
Ran into some issues and because of time hadn’t got around to it till tonight.

Am I doing something wrong or did I hit some bug?

Without the SD Card inserted what OS does the Vim3L boot to ???

It boots CoreELEC but a old version from, 2019-11-04. Build 18.4 Git: a long string.
This must be because I ordered the HTPC kit from Khadas.

Updated using the tar file to the 2020-03-29 build.

I hadn’t booted from the eEMC before since I was assuming it would boot Android.
My DHCP server even mentioned a Android device requesting a lease.
