Sonos beam audio settings

I’m having my eyes on the Sonos beam and not sure about the audio settings in kodi.
The Beam itself seems to be a 3.0 system that supports PCM stereo, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital 5.1.

How would one setup the passthrough for best audio experience?

  • [ x ] Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver
  • [ x ] Enably Dolby Digital (AC3) transcoding
  • [ x ] Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC3) capable speaker
  • [ ] DTS capable receiver
  • [ ] TrueHD capable receiver
  • [ ] DTS-HD capable receiver

It’s possible it will not support DD+, but the worst that could happen is that you’ll get no sound out when playing something in that format, so simply untick this option if it’s the case.

fair, I’ll just play around with the settings and diffrent audio formats.
