Sound Channel Settings?

Hey all, i Have a HW-QC600 Soundbar, what should i have my channel output settings set to?

I have passthrough enabled, using eARC but the channel setting seems to change the sound and im not sure what it should be set at?

Currently set to 3.1ch that i think is correct, running on an N2 latest version.

3.1 should be fine, but you could try downloading these multi channel samples at GitHub - sfiera/flac-test-files: FLAC test files for multi-channel sound systems and try different settings with the 5.1 and 7.1 samples and see what works / what you prefer.

It’s probably more important to turn on Passthrough and enable all the codecs your soundbar/eArc support (probably most)

Heya thanks, i currently have passthrough enabled, and just set it to max 7.1, it seems to sound alot better, at 3.1 it sounds weird and dull, assume the soundbar will do what it needs to?

Yeah I would assume the sound bar would do phantom rear channels etc and down mix from 7.1 appropriately.
