Sound Output USB S905X3

Hello everyone,

I just bought a Topping E30 DAC and was wondering if it’s possible to connect it via USB to my X96 Max+ w/ a S905X3 chip.

I tried and don’t see any option to output to USB, but I also don’t know if I’m doing something wrong since this is the first time I’m trying something like this. Should I assume the kernel doesn’t have any drivers for this DAC since nothing happens when I connect it via USB or is there something else to it?

Thanks!

Team CoreELEC doesn’t provide support for this 3rd party product. You probably will have more success via: Topping support or this user forum.

using ssh and type

lsusb

then you can see if your USB adapter is recognized or not at least. Per experiences from my memory some popular NIC should be supported out of the box but the more common scenario is you have to find the driver and compile it into CE by yourself. So maybe just buy a “popular” one

@avin A DAC is not a NIC.

Ooops, I misread it :rofl:
