Stop and restart Kodi

Hello,
I would like to delete the MovieDb and the corresponding TextureDb. For this purpose I should first quit Kodi, delete the above mentioned databases and restart Kodi.

Can I just log into Coreelec with SSH as root and kill the Kodi process? If so, how do I restart?
