I am using Mecool K3 pro and CE 9.0.3 with the Crazycat DVB drivers Add-on. The K3 pro uses the AVL6862 built-in tuner.
I am able to lock on a DVB-S QPSK signal just fine. The transport stream has only a 2 Msps Symbol rate, but this is within the specification of the AVL6862 tuner.
The Signal and SNR (71%) are stable for 1-2 hours and then all of a sudden the SNR gradually starts decreasing with 0.5 % every 1-2 seconds until it it complete loses signal at 37%. The tuner is then unlocked for 1 second and then it locks again automatically at full strength (71%). This happens at least once every 2 hours.
I do not experience the same problem with higher symbol rate transport streams.
If I lock a Wetek Play1 and Wetek Play2 on the same signal, I do not experience this problem. The Weteks use AVL6211 built-in tuners.
Is there a known problem with the AVL6862 tuner itself using this lower symbol rate? Or is it maybe driver related?
