Currently using CoreElec 21.3-Omega with an Ugoos AM6B+. Followed this site’s guide in early August & the install went smoothly.
Within the last week the AM6B+ has started having difficulty booting. I thought it was the external drive – I unplugged the AM6B+, unplugged the drive & plugged the AM6B+ back in. Boot was successful, plugged the drive back in & everything worked fine, but then even with the drive unplugged the problem persisted when I rebooted to generate the log. Tried leaving the AM6b+ unplugged for over a minute but problem persists.
When booting fails I see text flash by over the logo on the left of the screen (screenshots below). I tried filming it twice on my phone – first time it was in focus (green numbers show the order in which each line of text appeared over several seconds). Second time was blurry so I just included the last frame, which was a big wall of text. Both boot attempts showed different text.
The drive is a Western Digital Blue 6tb 5400 rpm hard drive in a Fideco enclosure. The USB storage for the CoreELEC -ng installation is a brand-new Verbatim 16GB USB Drive Store ‘n’ Stay Nano USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive, plugged into a USB 2.0 slot to the left of the HDMI. Skin is Estuary Mod V2.
At this point, I have to unplug/plug in the AM6B+ several times until it somehow boots successfully without any text flashing across the spinning CoreELEC logo. Here’s the log:
