Suspend with power button instead of shutdown

Hi all

I’m running a ng CoreELEC with inject bl301 so suspend works perfect now.
How can I make that the remote power button suspend instead of shut down the device?
Also, anybody checked if there is any difference in power usage between shutdown and suspend?
