Tanix S905X4 - Image freezes on black or video with very little motion

I have a Tanix X4 Amlogic S905X4 4GB box with the latest CoreElec installed.

Whenever there is little to no movement in a video or a sustained black, the picture freezes and I have to seek past it to unfreeze the picture. Audio is not affected.
There are particular moments in a video that I can guarantee will cause the picture to freeze, there’s no variability or apparent randomness.

I need a solution… it makes certain shows/films unwatchable.
Is there an older version of CE where this isn’t an issue? I’m using the latest stable release.

Also, with an HDMI connection if I boot up the device and the TV is not on the correct AV input there will be no audio and I have to restart.
So if I don’t see the boot up logo on the TV screen, there will be no audio. It’s a separate issue but might as well mention it here!

I let a video play for a while, then I seeked to a point where I knew it would freeze, I think at around 1051 seconds

Also, after enabling debugging and rebooting, the initial bootscreen was randomly flickering over the UI or when I played a video, I had to power off the device and then it was OK:

I didn’t get a log of that though.

Try Amlogic-no as Amlogic-ne is EOL.
And next time provide full debug infos including kodi log!
