Hi guys. My router in living room broke and I would like to use am6b+ as router from now on as it’s always powered on..

Is there a way to change tethering to 2.4ghz?

There’s no settings for it or I can not find it.

All my smart devices at home use only 2.4 network and these are not able to connect

edit: Right. Away from home and can’t check if it works but this post have me some clues.

Can you connect with mobile phone to 5GHz tethered network?

As I understand, for your devices to be able to connect to such an isolated tethered AP on AM6B+, you must have a DHCP server to assign IP addresses to attached devices. I’m not sure that this possibility exists in CE.

When you get internet from any router, then IP addresses are provided by routers DHCP server. Try with assigning fixed IP addresses to your devices to skip otherwise needed DHCP server…

Or maybe I got it all wrong

devices connected to hotspot got ip address from other subnet than my router but I’m able to connect with any device in network.
