…for all your efforts with CoreELEC. I am a long time user of OpenELEC, LibreELEC and now CoreELEC.
With the latest version of CoreELEC (v8.99.1.1), I have found that all of the various content I have plays back flawlessly. Unfortunately with the current LibreELEC Leia, there is a slight stutter (not the old 23.976p playback issue which caused stutter every 40 seconds), but a different kind - yet still noticeable. Maybe this is due to the fact that LE no longer really have an interest in Amlogic devices?? However, with CoreELEC everything I have plays back silky smooth. All of my content is stored locally on an external USB HDD.
I was very happy with wrxtasy’s Kodi Krypton v17.6 build, but I had a 4k video (VP9 codec in MKV container) that would not play - I have S905X box that can playback VP9 via hardware decoding. The same video on CE v8.99.1.1 plays back without any issues.
