i am running debian 12.4 on my laptop and tried to get the uart logs. I have the original odroid/hardkernel uart adapter. I connected it to my laptop and checked for any /dev/ttyUSB*, but there is nothing. Anyone an idea if there is something missing? Back in the days when i created uart logs, i was using fedora. Not sure if this is a debian thing or something with the hardware? I tested as root. No dmesg entries when connecting/disconnecting the adapter. But the LED is flashing, so i assume it should work.
edit: it was the usb cable that was somehow broken. it was able to load but not able to somehow transfer the data correctly.
