My Hisense also works fine with all DV modes and formats and refresh rate switchings from 720p up to 4k/60Hz …

I agree with @Sebastiii i have noticed playback is nit as smooth as its in ugoos android Uplayer. Framerate definitely drops (specially in HDR) and when stop movie and getting back to GUI sometimes color change i notcied but its not issue as long as playback is smooth and tone mapping is good.
I agree ce is stable as compared to dune and zidoo.

Yeah, In fact, it “just” matter to be able to force some settings to be able to avoid too much refresh rate or dynamic change when not needed, to in final, act like some other device but with a good tone-mapping.
I have no clue why it’s possible on FireTV when settings always as HDR, GUI video are tone mapped correctly without screen black refresh and if resolution is different from last start, yes, It’s normal to match the refresh.

I have set up like this on Kodi, to only change DRR on start and keep it when stop, like this, it doesn’t refresh on stop, the GUI lag a little but not much.
If a new movie differ from DRR of the GUI, it’s normal to change it and on stop, it stay to the latest DRR, like this, we can get a few DRR trigger, but on NG, It triggers for movie with the same DRR or near too !
It’s fixed on NO.
And when using dovi.ko, maybe the dovi code trigger something on amlogic hardware that trigger the refresh blank screen.
Like I said it happen on Hisense too, but this refresh is fast so I don’t care, but, I’m not using Hisense to watch movie etc. I’m using projector 
And most of the projector has a big delay and this is why I want to reduce it.
And with FireTV, It works (Kodi Android Piers), the tone mapping looks good, so this device does something without trigger the screen (specific setup of course, vertex2 in the chain, so FireTV think there is a DV device and then do the stuff as LLDV player side).
But surely that it’s not possible on amlogic hardware to do like this.
Anyway, Thank you for the work done (a big one) on free time, too bad, that I’m not a dev, I will be able to try on my side.
So yes on faster switch (TV) this blank didn’t care for me but on slow display, it’s not nice.
Have you tried stable built? 1002 ng have you tried?

I was using 1020 good picture quality but framerates were dropping than i installed 1023 there was oversharpness in picture quality. Very bad in hdr color struggling with edges on content. Now back to 21.2 stable hdr black /dark scene crushed until i go to settings> player> turn off HDR adjust frame rates stable and good hdr tonemapping finally but still dropping frames but less. What does it do exactly HDR adjustment option in player settings?
May be do that in your current CE.

For now, what I try is not ok, but I will try again against Hisense, still, I don’t want the hardware there.
I want it to where I watch my movie/series, and finally, was not able to have the same behavior from other product, so, yes, like user said to me, better to sell it.
I shouldn’t buy it ofc, but before, I have to know that it will be issued with all this handshake stuff.
And like even when I tell my testing and finding compared to other hardware, all says, that it’s perfect for them with AMB6+, that’s impossible to know it.
May be try again 21.2 stable build and disable hdr adjust in player setting. give it a test for couple of days. I notice with the time it changes picture quality. For now this build is most stable framerate but DV tonemapping is not as dynamic as other build I wish color would be brighter instead of more saturated. it might help. I hope there would be a stable release of 21.3 with stable framerate.

I did retry Ugoos OS with native and Kodi player (Android) and it’s more stable.
Under native player near all FEL sample works.
Under Kodi, it’s random FEL working (when disable P7 to P8.1 settings).
LLDV rocks stable and don’t trigger refresh rate when it shouldn’t.
But for Ugoos OS and not compatible DV, we need a device like Vertex2 and then set using DV on OS settings and Always ON.
It acts like FireTV Stick 4K.
