Can you take a picture? I Have gone through all PM4k, ugoos, and kodi settings and cannot find anything to resolve this problem. I have fallen back to not starting plex with kodi and giving it 15 seconds first before launching.
Also, I am still getting black artifacts on dolby vision profile 7 FEL display-led even directly connected to the tv. It is both present through the Denon and direct HDMI so I have plugged it back into the Denon for DTS, and reverted to player-led.
I tried doing the motherboard swap and the ribbon cables for the tcon board came in. While it now all does hook-up there must be some change to the tcon because the tv wont power on. Oh-well it did work for my 48 inch C2 â C3 without any ribbon cables. I think I am not going to mess with this more considering plugging in directly does not solve the display-led issues.
Can we please get some more ideas on fixing this?

Additionally, my resolution is still randomly resetting on the ugoos, and I still need a solution to TV-led FEL having black artifacts even when directly plugged into the tv. 3
I got the startup working, by going to settings in PM4k â system â enable âslow connectionâ even though my connection is local network and not slow at all. This has everything loading with plex autostarting on kodi.
Now to fix tv-ledâŚ
okay, I will try upgrading to a newer beta version it seems my pm4k is the older one corelec installs.
Still this doesât solve the other issues 1. The resolution that keeps resetting back to 480i when I go back to the ugoos after some time, and I have to keep switching to 1080p and then reboot and after it will let me switch to 4k.
- Dolby vision layer 7 FEL display-led does not work and has black blotches and wont play back correctly even with FEL working in player-led mode, even when connected directly to my TV (lg c2 77) .
And really my ethernet issues were never really solved, I just manually have to set IP info because DHCP is slow/borked on ugoos. The settings menu delay network stack doesnât work and this seems to be bugged also.
You should have told me the fix is manually downloading and uploading the newer beta pm4k lol. I am now on 0.8.0-beta5.1 . This has the delay startup setting which is better than the slow connection setting which was causing its own issues.
I have reliably had DV issues in the Bob marley movie and I just fiddled around with the movie for 5 minutes after the upgrade and so far no blotches. I hope this version of pm4k fixed the problem.
I will keep it like this and report back if the problem returns.
Is there a way to force the resolution so it can stop having issues with the EDID?
PM4K should be unrelated to the problem since it utilizes the internal player.
You are watching from your own Plex server? If so, try long pressing each library and directly mapping it to the library location on your server. Then PM4K can use SMB to open up the files, see if that helps things.
I donât think it will, maybe faulty box? If you bought on AliExpress, you can try an exchange.
I donât know anything about the resolution switching or lack of TV-led DV on your LG panel. Would follow either the reddit guide or the guide here and maybe try a clean/fresh install of CE/PM4K.

If the player is the same why would SMB work for DV better? I doubt I can exchange it I got it so long ago on Ali.
I doubt SMB would fix it, and I am not going to pay for another to see if its a fluke.
