Can someone confirm that Ugoos AM7 can be powered through usb-c port? I couldn’t find any information about it here or in the official Ugoos site or manual. Thanks.
Android or CoreElec is the OS you use?
Maybe I draw a wrong conclusion - this is a custom OTG port for data transfers only?
- USB – 3x USB 3.0 ports, 1x USB 2.0 port, 1x USB Type-C OTG port (data only)
I contacted Ugoos directly and they answered this: “Hello,
Yes, I tried to use type C 5V/2.5A power adapter to power on AM7, it worked. Thanks.” So i guess you can use usb-c for power.
And their answer from their official facebook page: “no, it is not reccomended” . lol
Dunno, your choice looks underpowered at 2.5A if the specs from the Ugoos are pointing at DC 5V/3A DC Adapter.
Maybe someone more skilled can help us? It will operate on low temperatures and loose some power? Or is going to damage the box?
