Ugoos AM9 - SoC S6 S905X5

You didn’t follow any instructions: where did I wrote you need to update fw? My dtb was to test it on old 2.1.0 fw to see if both fw supports it. And it doesn’t. That’s why decision was made to support only new fw 2.2.0. Of course this could mean some troubles but it’s hard to support all the possibilities.

You have written: “With next nightly build the Android firmware MUST be updated to v. 2.2.0.”
I got next nightly availability notification so followed your direction and updated firmware to 2.2.0 to have this version because you stated clearly “next CE nightly require this firmware version”

current is 20260909, next is 20260910

I had version 20260908.
For me, the next nightly version is 20260909.
Perhaps next time it would be better to be more precise and write: “Starting with nightly version 20260910, the Android firmware must be version 2.2.0”?

Yes, next time there will be more precise wording. Or not if I forgot.

Thank you.

I would like to share some information regarding updating CE from any “nightly” version prior to the 20260910 release to that specific version, in order to avoid potential issues.
Therefore, if you are using a CE Nightly version older than 20260910 on your AM9
and
the Android firmware version on the AM9 device is lower than 2.2.0, then
after completing the CE update to version 20260910, you MUST boot the AM9 directly into Android and perform the firmware update to version 2.2.0 there.

Next, after updating the firmware, boot into CE; you will then see the CE update progress with a distorted screen resolution and only half of the CE logo visible. However, this is expected behavior, as CE boots using the “previous” dtb.img file, which will be updated to the new version - compatible with firmware 2.2.0 - as part of the 20260910 release.

Thank you to the team for fixing CE so quickly to support the latest firmware release from Ugoos.

I performed both CE and Ugoos firmware update yesterday. Everything is working well

Feedback welcome. Booted from USB or not.

CEC dead on my AM9 on CE22

Adapter is detected (libCEC 8.1.7, fw v5), but nothing goes out: no volume to my Denon X3800H even with “Send volume commands over CEC” = Always, no TV/AVR wake when the AM9 starts, and the TV can’t wake the AM9.

Chain is AM9 → Denon HDMI 3 → TV HDMI 3 (eARC). The TV and Denon talk CEC fine, and a Homatics box on the same Denon controls volume over CEC.

Tried: physical address 0, power on/off “TV and AVR”, Playback and Recording device mode, full power cycle.

I have the same problem with CEC on AM9Pro with Denon X4400R

Try older nightly with other version on libcec:
