I just ordered this hub because it supports Per-port power switching. Hope it will work like I need.

Do you mean that for instance only the one HDD wakes up that is actually needed, not all of them?

uhubctl is utility to control USB power per-port on smart USB hubs. Smart hub is defined as one that implements per-port power switching.

You can programmably enable or disable power individually on USB sockets. It looks like the device is physically removed.

Got the hub today and of course power switching function doesn’t work :frowning: But at least hub itself works :rofl:
And I was waiting 2 weeks for it.

I think chip inside suports the function but some hw is missing around (like few transistors).
